Like many young men, he is infatuated with a girl. The girl is called Rose.
Zac has a secret. At night, he works an intense job for great reward but with the benefits come great consequences.
He is an assassin, hired to take the lives of strangers, knowing not whether they or innocent or guilty. He takes orders from a man who goes by the alias 'Dante'. Zac never meets with or speaks directly to Dante, he just does what he is told.
Zac's world is turned upside down when his target is not quite a stranger, but the long-term recipient of his affection, Rose.
Zac's conscience and his morals won't allow him to regard Rose in the same manner as his previous victims. He tries to save her, when he gets to her he fears it is too late as an unknown man (later revealed as Zac's father) is holding a gun to Rose's head.
Zac persuades his father not to kill Rose.
Zac's father leaves the hitman life behind and begins to lead a normal life.
Zac and Rose get together and Rose is eternally grateful to him for saving her life.
